Owners are abandoning Tesla, and angry people are taking their frustrations out on the symbol of unelected Elon's "breaking things" approach to the United States government: his poorly engineered cars.

Tesla owners have “rebranded” their vehicles in an effort to avoid vandalism due to Elon Musk’s involvement in the Trump administration. In a post on the sub-Reddit "Mildly Interesting," photos of Tesla vehicles feature other car brand names.

The backlash comes as Elon Musk has taken a major role in the Trump administration's government cost-cutting campaign. Some Cybertruck owners report being harassed, and news reports nationally show multiple dealerships have been targeted by anti-Musk vandals.

Musk is still more than $80 billion richer than he was on Election Day, even as Tesla’s more than 90% post-election rally shriveled to a 10% gain.
