Australia all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has been ruled out of the Champions Trophy due to lower back pain, a team spokesperson said on Friday.

Ahead of the Champions Trophy 2025, Australia`s premier all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has been ruled out of the marquee event. It is also said that his feature in the Indian Premier League is also doubtful following the lower back pain that has not responded sufficiently to rehabilitation.

A statement from CA confirmed that Marsh's injury had not responded adequately to rehabilitation, leading to the decision to extend his rest and rehabilitation period.

"Mitchell Marsh has been ruled out of the upcoming ICC Men's Champion's Trophy with ongoing lower back pain and dysfunction," CA said in a statement today. "The National Selection Panel and Australian men's medical team ruled Marsh out of the tournament with the injury which has not responded sufficiently to rehabilitation.
