Verdansk is coming back to Call of Duty Warzone, but fans want more than just the map; they want all the old mechanics to return, too.

Warzone Season 3 update, capping its five-year anniversary with a return to Verdansk. It has been five years since Call of Duty: Warzone dropped online, bringing the battle royale style to the franchise.

Verdansk is officially coming back to Warzone next month as a new teaser has shown off the beloved battle royale map.

Ahead of this, Activision released a nostalgia-themed trailer set to "Unforgettable" by Nat King Cole. The CG trailer calls back to Warzone's earliest days, showing off some of the locations that are set to return. It ends with a soldier looking directly into the camera, with a tear streaming down his face as he smiles.

Call of Duty Warzone's Verdansk map is officially right around the corner, as Activision lines up its return with Black Ops 6 Season 3.

Activision has officially announced the date that Verdansk will return to Call of Duty: Warzone. It’s long been known that Verdansk, which was the original map in Warzone, would be making a return at some point, with Activision announcing back in August 2024 that it planned to bring the map back in Spring 2025.

Since its release, many tweaks and sweeping changes, such as new playlists and major maps, have been introduced to Call of Duty: Warzone in an attempt to keep fans engaged. However, it seems that the game's glory days may be firmly behind it.
