People gathered yards away from a debris field of broken plane pieces and singed cars to get a glimpse of the wreckage. Many described the moment the plane hit as akin to a war zone.   Andre Boldin told the USA TODAY Network said the jet sounded like a missile sputtering overhead.

However, a Saturday morning update from the Philadelphia mayor's office confirmed that all six people aboard the plane had died. The statement noted that many people on the ground "in parking lots, on streets, in cars and homes in the area" were injured, but the number of injured people "is yet to be released."

The plane had been on a medical transportation mission to Mexico, carrying a child patient, her mother and four crew members.
